CHILLICOTHE, OH — The Chillicothe Police Department (CPD) released its daily media report on May 18, 2025, documenting 18 incidents that occurred on Saturday, May 17. The report includes a range of activities, from traffic violations to trespassing and disorderly conduct, reflecting a busy day for local law enforcement.

The day began with a traffic stop at 12:12 AM on N Bridge St, where a vehicle was observed traveling without headlights. A citation was issued for failing to obey traffic control devices (PD-P2502591). At 2:06 AM, another traffic stop on Water St and Rose St involved a driver with a suspended license (PD-P2502592), followed by a stop sign violation on E 2nd St near N Hickory at 2:17 AM, resulting in a citation (PD-P2502593).

At 4:10 AM, officers served a warrant at the Ross County Jail (PD-P2502594). Later, at 6:14 AM, a welfare check at the BP on 741 Safford Ave led to a criminal trespass investigation (PD-P2502595). A threats call at 1025 Akron St was reported at 7:53 AM (PD-P2502596), and a vehicle crash involving improper starting and backing occurred on E 5th St at 10:44 AM (PD-P2502597).

Trespassing incidents were prevalent throughout the day. At 12:32 PM, officers responded to a trespassing call at Walmart on 85 River Trace Ln, barring Justin Yoe from all Walmart properties (PD-P2502598). At 2:42 PM, a disorderly incident at Par Mar on 61 N Bridge St resulted in Ashley Spangler being barred from the location (PD-P2502600). Trespassing complaints continued with a report at 380 E 2nd St at 1:16 PM (PD-P2502599), culminating in an arrest at the same address at 6:52 PM (PD-P2502603). Another trespass-related incident occurred at 11:51 PM at 61 N Bridge St, involving a threat complaint (PD-P2502608).

Disorderly conduct reports included a call at 319 S Paint St (Jerry’s Pizza) at 8:07 PM (PD-P2502604) and another at 727 E Main St at 9:05 PM (PD-P2502606). A combined warrant and trespass investigation was initiated at 7:41 PM on Whaley Pl after a report of a male trespassing at 209 Longview (PD-P2502605).

Theft was reported at Menard’s on N Bridge St at 3:30 PM, though the incident dated back to May 13, 2025, according to Loss Prevention officer Austin Deel (PD-P2502601). A drug-related incident occurred at 9:39 PM on Riverside St near N Bridge St, involving two individuals on bicycles, with charges of drug paraphernalia possession and obstructing official business (PD-P2502607). A non-criminal incident was also reported at 28 N Paint St at 5:54 PM (PD-P2502602).
