
CHILLICOTHE, OHIO — The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 16 calls for service on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, ranging from theft and disorderly conduct to drug possession and school-related incidents.
The day began quietly, with one case reported in error, followed by officers serving a warrant on North Bridge Street just before 10 a.m. Later that morning, detectives opened a juvenile investigation after a disorderly conduct incident involving an intoxicated person at Chillicothe High School.
Around 11:30 a.m., officers investigated a theft and trespassing complaint on South Watt Street, followed by a juvenile-related call at the CCSD sports complex. Another criminal trespass complaint was filed on Seneca Road shortly after 2 p.m.
Traffic enforcement was also part of the day’s activity, as an officer cited a driver on Mill Street for texting while driving and speeding through a school zone. Additional disorderly conduct complaints were reported at Sherman Park, where two people were allegedly living in a shed and refused to leave, and at the Myer Motel, where threats were reported.
Police also investigated a vehicle accident on Elm Street near Western Avenue, handled found property on North Paint Street, and took a theft report from Crestview Lane.
Evening calls included a domestic-related disorderly conduct report on East Main Street, an assault at Chillicothe Intermediate School, and another found property case on North Paint Street.
The final call of the night came at 11:48 p.m., when officers made an arrest on East 4th Street for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Several of the day’s incidents remain under investigation.
