CHILLICOTHE, OH — The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a series of incidents on Thursday, June 6, ranging from domestic violence and theft to missing persons and criminal trespassing, according to the department’s daily media report.

The day began just after 7:30 a.m. when officers were dispatched to West 7th Street on a report of possible trespassing. The situation remains under investigation.

Shortly afterward, at 8:24 a.m., an officer traveled to the Fayette County Jail to retrieve a suspect wanted on an active warrant. By 9 a.m., police were conducting a welfare check on Adams Avenue, the first of two calls to that location throughout the day.

A theft was reported at the Ross County Law Complex on East Main Street at 9:49 a.m., followed closely by a criminal mischief complaint at 14 North Paint Street, which houses the Ross County Juvenile Probation office.

At 11:18 a.m., officers were once again called to Adams Avenue, this time in response to a domestic disturbance involving allegations of unlawful restraint and domestic violence. Less than 15 minutes later, another theft was reported—this one on East 4th Street.

Later in the afternoon, officers investigated a forgery complaint at 28 North Paint Street and responded to Burbridge Street for a report of suicidal threats. That case remains open.

Around 4:18 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop near South Watt and East 7th Street, leading to an arrest for driving under suspension. A short time later, another individual was picked up on a warrant in Lincoln Park.

At 6:38 p.m., officers were called to East 5th Street regarding a missing person case. No further details have been released.

Two more domestic-related incidents closed out the night: the first on North High Street around 8 p.m., and the second on East Water Street near Cristy’s Pizza, where a disorderly conduct and criminal trespass complaint was reported.

The department confirmed that all cases are either under investigation or have resulted in charges/arrests. Citizens with additional information about any of the incidents are encouraged to contact the Chillicothe Police Department.
