
CHILLICOTHE — Chillicothe police handled a range of calls on Monday, August 25, 2025, including thefts, disorderly conduct, and multiple warrant arrests.
The day began just after 5 a.m. when officers were dispatched to South Hickory Street regarding a theft report. Roughly two hours later, another theft was reported on South Paint Street, this time involving items taken from a vehicle. Both cases remain under investigation.
At 9:13 a.m., officers responded to West Main Street for a criminal simulation complaint. Five minutes later, police investigated an auto accident near Columbus Street and Douglas Avenue involving an “assured clear distance ahead” violation.
By late morning, police were called to the area of West Fifth Street and Keller Road for reports of a subject yelling at cars and walking in the roadway. The case was documented as disorderly conduct and is still under investigation.
Later that morning, Chillicothe officers assisted VA Police in taking Albert Robey into custody. Robey was wanted on two active warrants: failure to appear and menacing. He was transported to the Ross County Jail and is scheduled for a court appearance on Tuesday, August 26, at 9 a.m. in Chillicothe Municipal Court.
In the evening, officers responded to Western Avenue where a suspect was found in possession of drugs and a weapon despite being legally prohibited from carrying firearms. A separate traffic stop on Old Eastern Avenue at 7:19 p.m. involved a driver cited for driving under suspension.
At 8:53 p.m., police were dispatched to East 4th Street for a reported burglary in progress. The case was classified as disorderly intoxication, and the investigation remains ongoing.
The day concluded with another warrant case. Around 10:30 p.m., officers issued a summons to Allison Leeth for failure to appear in court on a prior burglary charge.
In total, 11 incidents were documented by Chillicothe police on August 25.
