Chillicothe Police Report Surge in Incidents on June 11, 2025

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Chillicothe Police Department (CPD) handled a busy day of incidents on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, with 34 cases reported, ranging from drug-related arrests to traffic violations and thefts, according to the daily media report released on Thursday, June 12, 2025.

The day began with a traffic stop on E. Main Street near Douglas at 12:05 a.m., resulting in an arrest for possessing drug abuse instruments and illegal use. Just minutes later, at 12:13 a.m., a stop at 1200 N. Bridge St. (Shoe Dept.) addressed an unobstructed license plate issue, with the investigation ongoing. At 2:41 a.m., officers responded to 384 E. 5th St. regarding a group of juveniles attempting to enter a car, citing a curfew violation.

Traffic incidents included a hit-and-skip crash reported at 3:10 a.m. at the Pilot Gas Station on 1111 E. Main St., and multiple non-criminal parking issues were addressed throughout the morning on S. Walnut St. and S. Paint St. A criminal mischief case was logged at 11:42 a.m. on E. 4th St., while a suicidal person report at 12:13 p.m. on 450 W. 2nd St. and a trespassing complaint at 12:20 p.m. on N. Bridge St. remain under investigation.

Theft reports emerged in the afternoon, with incidents at Sherman Park (7:06 a.m.), River Trace Lane (2:19 p.m.), Columbus St. (2:32 p.m.), Clay St. (2:44 p.m.), and S. Sugar St. (7:29 p.m.), all still being probed. A disorderly conduct case at 301 Lincoln Park on W. 7th St. at 3:26 p.m. and a drug possession and protection order violation at 429 1/2 E. Water St. at 3:42 p.m. added to the day’s caseload.

Traffic enforcement peaked with several stops for obstructing intersections/crosswalks on N. Bridge St., including citations issued to Kendra Toney at 4:49 p.m. and others at various times. A significant drug-related traffic stop occurred at 7:24 p.m. in Ross County, involving possession and trafficking of Schedule I or II substances. Additional crashes were reported at 7:31 p.m. on N. Bridge St. and 9:42 p.m. on E. 5th St., the latter involving a missing person and unruly juvenile.

The evening concluded with disorderly conduct reports at 11:05 p.m. on Eastern Ave. and 11:39 p.m. on Fruit Hill Dr., both under investigation. A red light violation led to a citation for Ryan Janes at 8:28 p.m. on E. Main St., and a drive-onto-roadway/duty-to-yield crash was documented at 9:04 p.m. on S. Brownell St.
