
CHILLICOTHE, OH — The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a wide range of incidents on Thursday, May 15, 2025, including multiple domestic disputes, traffic violations, theft reports, and a suspected drug overdose, according to the department’s daily media report.
Warrant Arrests and Criminal Activity
- Officers made a warrant arrest at 1111 E. Main Street (Pilot station) early Thursday morning around 4:12 a.m.
- Another warrant was served at 10:38 a.m. on W. 7th Street.
- Officers also responded to several reports of criminal trespass and theft, including an incident dating back to December 2024 on E. Main Street and a theft from Lowe’s reported from April 29th.
Domestic Disputes and Disorderly Conduct
Police were dispatched to at least four different domestic disputes throughout the day:
- E. 4th Street at 10:57 a.m.
- S. Walnut Street twice, once at 11:08 a.m. and again at 1:07 p.m., including a woman yelling in front of a church
- Washington Avenue at 3:50 p.m.
- Maple Avenue at 3:59 p.m., involving threats and aggressive behavior
Traffic and Driving Violations
- Officers made multiple traffic stops for various infractions, including driving under suspension, failure to display proper plates, no motorcycle endorsement, and texting while driving.
- At 5:30 p.m., a driver on Western Avenue was cited for failing to reinstate her license and expired registration.
- At 8:08 p.m., a driver on N. Bridge Street was pulled over for texting while driving and driving under a non-compliance suspension.
Drug Overdose and Miscellaneous
- A suspected drug overdose was reported at 653 Laurel Street at 8:42 p.m.. The investigation is ongoing.
- Police responded to multiple non-criminal parking issues across the city, including incidents on Toledo Street, Dayton Street, Gilmore Street, and Leggett Avenue.
- An accident was reported at N. Paint and E. 2nd Street just after 3:00 p.m..
- A case of menacing by stalking was also reported at the Law Enforcement Complex (LEC) later in the evening.
Ongoing Investigations
Several of the cases—including thefts, traffic stops, disorderly conduct, and the overdose—are still under active investigation by Chillicothe Police.
