CHILLICOTHE, OH – Chillicothe police are investigating a drive-by style shooting that erupted on East Water Street late Monday night.
According to police, officers were dispatched to the intersection of East Water and Rose streets around 9:41 p.m. on September 15 after multiple witnesses reported gunfire. Witnesses told investigators that three men inside a vehicle fired shots out of the window as they passed through the area.
More than a dozen shots were reported, and officers recovered nine shell casings at the scene. No injuries were reported at the time, but police classified the case as felonious assault.
The investigation remains ongoing. There were no reports of any injuries.
