
CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Chillicothe police responded to several calls for service throughout the afternoon of January 29, 2026, including reports of disorderly conduct, a hit-skip crash, and a possible fraud complaint, according to the department’s daily media report.
Officers were first called to North Bridge Street around 2:10 p.m. for a reported trespassing complaint. Police classified the incident as non-criminal, and the investigation is ongoing.
Just before 3 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Rally’s restaurant on North Bridge Street in reference to a welfare check. Police reported the incident involved disorderly conduct and intoxication that created a potential risk of harm. Further details were not immediately released.
Later in the afternoon, officers took a non-criminal report related to a juvenile investigation while at the Law Enforcement Complex. The report was made via telephone.
At approximately 3:58 p.m., police responded to the 200 block of South Mulberry Street for a hit-skip crash. Officers said the driver involved left the scene before police arrived. The incident remains under investigation.

Shortly after 4:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Yoctangee Parkway and West Water Street for a motor vehicle crash involving an assured clear distance ahead violation. Police said the crash is still under investigation.
The day concluded with officers responding to the Law Enforcement Complex for a possible fraud complaint reported on North Paint Street. That case is also under investigation.
In total, Chillicothe police documented seven incidents during the reporting period.
