
CHILLICOTHE, OH — The Chillicothe Police Department handled a variety of incidents on Thursday, November 6, 2025, according to the department’s daily media log. Reports ranged from child endangerment and drug possession to multiple theft investigations and welfare checks across the city.
Officers first responded shortly after midnight to East Water Street, where a citizen contact led to a report of possession of drugs.
Later that morning, at 6:32 a.m., police took a troubling report from Nationwide Children’s Hospital involving a three-month-old child who tested positive for narcotics. The incident is believed to have occurred in the 200 block of West Water Street and remains under active investigation.
Around 9 a.m., officers responded to East Main Street for an accident report, followed by a traffic violation for failing to obey a control device.
At 12:40 p.m., police investigated a suicidal subject complaint near North High and East Main Streets. Just minutes later, a report of having weapons while under disability (drug-related) was filed, and another call involved a license plate obstruction on West Water Street near Diehl Street.
By early afternoon, officers took a warrant report at the Law Enforcement Complex on Yoctangee Parkway, followed by a shoplifting case at Walmart, 85 River Trace Lane, around 2:41 p.m. The theft remains under investigation.
That evening, officers were dispatched to Scioto Avenue regarding a missing juvenile, followed by a domestic dispute on Toledo Street. Police also performed a welfare check on Tomahawk Drive.
Two additional theft complaints were reported later in the night — one at Dollar General, 1050 E. Main Street, and another at a residence on East 4th Street. Both investigations are ongoing.
In total, 15 reports were filed for the day, reflecting a busy schedule of calls ranging from minor traffic issues to serious criminal investigations.
