
CHILLICOTHE, OH — The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a variety of calls on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, ranging from drug possession to shoplifting and assault.
- Drug Arrest: Around 2:30 a.m., an officer made a citizen contact on Dayton Street, leading to an arrest for drug possession and paraphernalia.
- Thefts Reported: Several theft complaints were logged throughout the day, including incidents on East 2nd Street, Central Center’s Rent to Own, Columbus Street, and Lowe’s Home Improvement. Officers also responded to two separate shoplifting calls at Walmart on River Trace Lane later in the evening.
- Assault & Disorderly Conduct: Police were called to East Main Street just before 11 a.m. for an active fight, and later to incidents of disorderly conduct on North Hickory Street and Western Avenue.
- Sexual Imposition Investigation: Police received a referral from Job and Family Services regarding possible abuse concerns. That case remains under investigation.
- Other Reports: Officers handled a missing person case on North Paint Street, a trespassing call on North Bridge Street, and a vehicle accident near Texas Roadhouse.
