
CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a wide range of calls on Sunday, August 24, 2025, including reports of theft, disorderly conduct, vandalism, and a late-night assault.
The day began just after midnight with a traffic accident reported on North Poplar Street. No injuries or charges were reported.
By mid-morning, officers were called to North Watt Street for a disorderly conduct complaint and later to Mount Logan Drive for a reported theft. Another theft was reported that afternoon on Mechanic Street, with both cases still under investigation.
Around noon, police investigated a vandalism complaint at Sherman Park and a trespassing-related disorderly conduct call at the Dollar General on Central Center.
Later in the day, officers assisted Highland County authorities with a warrant involving Tessa Wiley, who was wanted for failure to appear in a case tied to a driver’s license suspension. Wiley was issued a summons and released with a new court date.
Calls involving individuals making suicidal threats were reported on both East 2nd Street and South Walnut Street, with investigations ongoing. Police also responded to East 2nd Street for a complaint of threats made by phone.
The most serious incident of the day came at 195 South Hickory Street around 9:15 p.m., where an assault was reported. Officers noted the victim was knowingly caused harm, and the investigation is continuing.
The day ended with officers assisting the Ohio State Highway Patrol near US 23 and Carousel Court, where a man was reportedly jumping into traffic.
Chillicothe Police say multiple investigations remain open, and no further details have been released at this time.
