
CHILLICOTHE, OH — Chillicothe Police responded to a wide range of incidents on June 10, 2025, including a serious rape investigation, multiple traffic citations, a burglary, and several disorderly conduct calls, according to the department’s daily media report.
Serious Incident Investigations
Officers were dispatched just after midnight to Adena Medical Center for a report of rape that allegedly occurred at McArthur Gardens. The case remains under active investigation.
In a separate case, police are investigating a burglary that occurred at 577 E. 4th Street. The homeowner reported the break-in at approximately 4:13 p.m.
A juvenile was reported missing from a residence on E. Main Street. The investigation into the child’s whereabouts is ongoing.
Traffic and Drug-Related Activity
A drug possession incident occurred following a traffic stop on E. 2nd Street just before 12:30 a.m., involving suspected Schedule I or II substances.
Officers issued a string of citations for obstructing intersections, particularly around the Bridge and Pawnee Street area. Multiple drivers were cited throughout the afternoon for blocking crosswalks or entering intersections without a clear path forward.
A warrant arrest was executed on Cleveland Avenue, where police took Michael Pope into custody on a protection order violation warrant issued by the Franklin Police Department.
Theft, Domestic Disputes, and Disorderly Conduct
Walmart Loss Prevention contacted police about a theft incident that occurred on June 2. Detectives are continuing the investigation.
Officers responded to 633 Seneca Road for a domestic violence complaint and to Cherokee Road for an unruly juvenile report.
Disorderly conduct calls ranged from an unknown male throwing trash cans and yelling at children on North Watt Street, to an incident involving a disorderly male on West 5th Street.
A hit-skip crash was reported on North Bridge Street, while other minor non-criminal crashes were documented on Vine Street and Water Street.
