
CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Chillicothe Police were kept busy Wednesday, Nov. 5, responding to a series of incidents ranging from drug arrests and theft complaints to disorderly conduct and juvenile disturbances, according to the department’s daily media report.
Officers made arrests after two early-morning traffic stops involving drug possession and paraphernalia on East Main Street and Washington Avenue. A third stop on Columbus Street led to charges of obstructing official business after a suspect was stopped while riding a bicycle.
Later in the morning, police responded to reports of disorderly conduct on Cedarwood Drive and a theft complaint that remains under investigation. Officers were also dispatched to Columbus Street for an alleged sex offense involving a victim with a mental or physical disability; detectives are continuing to investigate that case.
Throughout the day, Chillicothe officers handled several domestic and disorderly incidents, including one on South Paint Street related to a dispute, another on South Brownell Street, and one reported at an apartment on South Paint Street later in the evening.
Police also investigated a shoplifting case at Rural King on North Bridge Street, a missing juvenile reported on Church Street, and an unruly child complaint on Scioto Avenue involving two juvenile males fighting.
The department also logged several traffic-related calls, including crashes on North Bridge Street and other minor vehicle incidents throughout the day.
In total, Chillicothe Police handled 17 reports on Nov. 5, several of which remain under active investigation.
