Chillicothe Police Handle Busy Weekend with Multiple Incidents

CHILLICOTHE, OH – The Chillicothe Police Department (CPD) responded to a series of incidents over the weekend, as outlined in the daily media report released on Monday, June 16, 2025. A total of 17 cases were recorded on Saturday, June 15, ranging from warrants and trespassing to traffic violations and child endangerment.

The day began with a traffic stop at 1:46 a.m. on E Main St. targeting a Red Ford Ranger, with the investigation pending. An active trespass was reported at 5:59 a.m. at the Pilot station on E Main St., followed by a disorderly conduct call at 6:39 a.m. on E 5th St. involving a reported assault, which remains under review. Domestic disputes led to warrant checks at 7:28 a.m. on Cheyenne Dr. and 9:06 a.m. on Vine St., where Mark Stone was arrested on a Jackson County warrant and transferred to sheriff’s custody.

A misunderstanding at 9:59 a.m. on E 5th St. involved a family dispute over a son’s girlfriend, with no suicide threats or firearm issues confirmed. Trespass complaints continued at 10:21 a.m. at Walgreens on N Bridge St. and 12:15 p.m. at American Vintage Warehouse on E Water St., both pending investigation. A child endangerment case at 2:20 p.m. on River Trace Ln. involved a juvenile alone in a vehicle, while a vehicle accident at 2:44 p.m. at N Bridge and E Water St. is under review.

Criminal mischief and theft reports surfaced at 3:20 p.m. and 4:36 p.m. on River Trace Ln., with a burglary complaint at 3:30 p.m. on E Main St. also ongoing. Traffic incidents included a crash at 4:21 p.m. on E Water St. and a stop for driving under suspension at 9:35 p.m. at Roosters on N Plaza Blvd. The night ended with warrant and traffic stops at 11:13 p.m. on King St. and 11:57 p.m. near N Plaza Blvd and US-35, both still under investigation.
