Chillicothe police responded to a flurry of incidents on Saturday, August 2, 2025, addressing everything from arrests and traffic violations to welfare checks and potential crimes. The Chillicothe Police Department (CPD) released its daily media report, detailing 17 cases that kept officers busy across the city.

The night began with a warrant-related arrest at 1:10 a.m. on E Water St., where an officer conducted a stop leading to an apprehension, with no further details provided. Shortly after, at 1:50 a.m., a welfare check was conducted at the BP station on 760 N Bridge St., classified as a non-criminal matter. Another unusual incident occurred at 3:08 a.m. on Back Rd., where an officer attempted to stop a golf cart for unsafe driving and a random verification, with the investigation still ongoing.

The morning brought a traffic-related incident at 11:06 a.m. on Dolphin St., where a crash report was filed due to failure to control or weaving. An erroneous report was issued at 11:34 a.m. on Columbus St., linked to an ongoing investigation (case #P2504075), with no additional information released. Later, at 12:37 p.m., officers were dispatched to 1049 Columbus St., Apartment 108, for a possible burglary, with the case still under review.

Disorderly conduct and trespassing cases emerged in the afternoon. At 12:57 p.m., a welfare check on Allen Ave. and Delano led to an ongoing disorderly conduct investigation. Traffic and drug-related incidents rounded out the day. At 5:46 p.m., an issue with license plates was noted on E 5th St., and at 9:10 p.m., a drug possession case involving Schedule I or II substances was reported on E 2nd St. A hit-and-run accident at 10:00 p.m. on Maple Ave. led to an accident form being completed. The night ended with a disorderly conduct call at 10:25 p.m. on E Main St., with the investigation continuing.
