The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a wide range of incidents throughout the city on January 13, 2026, including warrants, disorderly conduct complaints, theft reports, traffic violations, and multiple trespassing calls, according to the department’s daily media report.

Police activity began just after midnight when officers conducted traffic stops on bicyclists riding without required lights on East Main Street and in the area of East 2nd and Hickory streets. Both stops resulted in warrant-related investigations.

Throughout the early morning hours, officers were dispatched to several criminal trespass and disorderly conduct complaints, including reports on North Rose Street, Laurel Street involving a domestic dispute, Sherman Park, and Jefferson Avenue. Investigations into those incidents were ongoing at the time of the report.

Later in the morning and afternoon, officers responded to multiple theft complaints across the city, including reports on West Water Street, West 5th Street, and at the Law Enforcement Complex lobby. An auto accident was also reported near Yoctangee Parkway and Mill Street, with the investigation continuing.

Traffic enforcement remained active during school hours, with officers issuing citations for speeding in 20 mph school zones along Yoctangee Parkway and conducting stops on North Bridge Street, North High Street, and Yoctangee Parkway.

In the late afternoon and evening, police responded to additional trespass calls at businesses and residences on South Renick Avenue, North Paint Street, University Drive, and East Main Street. Officers also handled a disturbance call at a North Douglas Avenue business, which resulted in charges including obstructing official business, resisting arrest, and a drug-related offense.

One notable traffic incident occurred on Pawnee Road, where officers encountered a semi-truck partially in a farm field on a non-truck route. The driver told officers she was following GPS directions to the Kroger warehouse. She was issued a citation after police noted she had passed multiple non-truck route signs.

Police also documented several non-criminal reports, including property damage involving a tow truck on Belleview Avenue and threat-related complaints.

The day concluded with additional warrant-related contacts and traffic stops late Tuesday night, including a warrant arrest on North Paint Street shortly after 11 p.m.

In total, 26 incidents were recorded in the Chillicothe Police Department’s daily report for January 13. Several cases remain under investigation.
