CHILLICOTHE, OH – The Chillicothe Police Department released its daily media report, detailing 22 incidents on Monday, June 23, 2025, with the summary compiled at 8:50 AM EDT on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. The day featured a range of calls, including warrants, overdoses, thefts, and disturbances, showcasing the department’s active response to community needs.

The night began with a warrant served at 12:13 a.m. on Washington Ave., resulting in an arrest, while an unresponsive person call at 12:18 a.m. on S. Mulberry St. prompted an ongoing investigation. A disorderly conduct report at 1:04 a.m. at Certified, 825 N. Bridge St., stemmed from a trespass complaint. A potential suicide attempt and drug overdose at 2:04 a.m. on E. 5th St. Apt 4 led to further inquiry, and a parking complaint at 7:43 a.m. on E. 2nd St. resulted in a tow for an improperly parked vehicle with expired Kansas plates.

Theft investigations continued with a firearm theft reported at 12:05 p.m. on E. 4th St., and a shoplifting case at 5:40 p.m. at Walmart on River Trace Ln. remained under review. Multiple warrant arrests were made, including at 3:01 p.m. near the Ross/Pickaway county line and 3:58 p.m. at Wesbanco on E. Water St. A notable arrest occurred at 9:55 p.m. on N. Paint St., where Ashley Spangler was detained on an assault warrant (case #CRB 2501126), with her belongings logged into the CPD Found Property Room ahead of her 9:00 a.m. court date on June 24 at the Chillicothe Municipal Courthouse.

Other incidents included a resolved juvenile theft at 4:38 p.m. on N. Bridge St. (Speedway), a menacing complaint at 3:16 p.m. on Columbus St., and a dog-related issue at 3:30 p.m. on Monroe Ave., both still under investigation. A non-criminal crash report was noted at 10:52 a.m. on Shawnee Dr., and a trespass complaint at 9:25 a.m. at Quality Inn on N. Plaza Blvd. against Thomas Robbins required no further action.
