CHILLICOTHE — The Chillicothe Correctional Institution (CCI) recently celebrated the retirements of two veteran officers whose combined service totals more than seven decades.
Officer Strausbaugh is retiring after more than 40 years with the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (DRC), while Officer Pummill is stepping down after more than 30 years of service.
CCI officials praised both officers for their leadership, professionalism, and dedication, noting that their guidance has influenced not only the staff at CCI but also colleagues across the DRC system.
“These officers’ wisdom, work ethic, and commitment have left a lasting impact on the institution and the department as a whole,” CCI said in a statement.
