AMANDA TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A working structure fire has been reported at 5705 Fosnaugh School Road SW in Amanda Township Monday afternoon, drawing a large emergency response.
More than a dozen fire departments have been dispatched to the scene. Crews approaching the fire reported seeing a large plume of smoke visible from a distance. When they arrived they found a 20 by 20 barn that has burned almost to the ground.
Authorities are urging residents and motorists to avoid the area while firefighters work to contain the blaze. No information on possible injuries or the cause of the fire has been released at this time.
UPDATE – When fire crews arrived on scene they found a 20 by 20 barn that was completely engulfed in flames and had collapsed. Departments on scene drowned the remaining structure in fire. Situation contained.
