CIRCLEVILLE, OH — Emergency crews are responding to a reported stabbing incident on Sumpter Avenue in Circleville. According to early reports, a male victim has sustained a stab wound to the abdomen.
Police are currently on the scene, and additional emergency medical units are en route. The extent of the victim’s injuries has not yet been confirmed. Medflight has been called for a possible emergency helicopter transport to a critical care hospital.
Authorities are asking the public to avoid the area while the situation is being handled and an investigation is underway.
Update: police are searching for the suspect, they have released a BOLO (be on the lookout) for a Older model Hyundai Santa Fe silver in color. Has tinted windows black over the wheelwells, white writing on the back window, and no front tag. The vehicle was said to have two occupants.
