PICKAWAY COUNTY, Ohio — A serious single-vehicle crash late Thursday morning prompted a medical helicopter response in Pickaway County.
The crash occurred around 11:30 a.m. near 18331 Walnut Creek Pike, just south of Hagerty Road. Emergency crews called for MedFlight, which landed in a cornfield across from the scene to transport one patient in serious condition to Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
Authorities reported that additional occupants in the vehicle sustained only minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by local law enforcement.
Pickaway Township Fire and other emergency responders assisted at the scene.
