
CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — Officers with the Circleville Police Department handled 39 calls for service on March 12, according to the department’s daily media report.
Throughout the early morning hours, officers conducted multiple extra patrols across the city, including areas along East Mound Street, East Main Street, Clark Drive, and Clinton Street. All patrols were reported as checked and clear.
Police conducted several traffic stops during the day. A warning was issued during a stop on South Pickaway Street around 2:16 a.m., while citations were issued during separate stops on East Main Street and North Washington Street later in the day.
At 7:49 a.m., officers responded to a report of a suspicious person on East Franklin Street. After checking the situation, officers reported no issues.
Police also responded to several alarm drops, including calls on U.S. Route 23, West Main Street, and Morris Road, all of which were determined to be secure.
Among the more serious incidents, officers took a report of an assault around 3:19 p.m. on East Main Street. Later in the afternoon, police also took a report of a breaking and entering incident on Northview Court at approximately 4 p.m.
Additional calls throughout the day included disturbances on South Court Street and Morris Road, animal-related calls, parking complaints, and a well-being check on East Mill Street.
Officers also responded to a report of a possible drunk driver on Lancaster Pike during the afternoon; however, the vehicle was gone upon arrival and unable to be located.
