
FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Ohio — The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Lancaster man following an investigation into a historical sexual assault involving a minor.
The investigation began on Monday, Feb. 2, 2026, after a victim under the age of 18 reported that she had been sexually abused several years ago, beginning when she was approximately six or seven years old. As part of the investigation, the victim was interviewed at the Harcum House Child Advocacy Center.
On Friday, Feb. 6, 2026, Terry Allen Green, 70, of Lancaster, was arrested and charged with rape. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Fairfield County Jail. Charges were filed through the Fairfield County Prosecutor’s Office.
The reported offenses are alleged to have occurred around Jan. 1, 2015, at a residence on Hopewell Church Road SW in Lancaster. Investigators have collected evidence and obtained statements related to the case. Officials say there is no known ongoing threat to public safety.
Green is currently being held with a 200,000 dollar bond.
Due to the sensitive nature of the investigation and the age of the victim, authorities have stated that no further information will be released.
