COLUMBUS, Ohio — Aerospace Lubricants, a Columbus-founded manufacturer of high-performance synthetic lubricants, is expanding its local operations with a more than $5 million investment aimed at modernizing its production facility and adding new jobs in advanced manufacturing.
The expansion will take place at the company’s existing facility at 1600 Georgesville Road, where Aerospace Lubricants plans to upgrade its mixing, blending, and testing capabilities. The project will retain 37 current employees and create 15 new positions, strengthening the company’s ability to serve aerospace, automotive, and industrial markets.
Company officials said the investment will support the production of specialty greases designed for high-temperature, high-stress environments, including aviation, defense, and advanced industrial applications. The upgrades are expected to help the company meet increasing customer demand while continuing to develop new lubricant formulations.
“Aerospace Lubricants has a strong history of formulating products that perform in the most demanding conditions,” said President Dave Meyer. “This investment allows us to add new production capabilities and continue innovating from our Columbus headquarters. We’re excited to grow where our company was built and where we’ve found strong partners and a skilled workforce.”

Founded in 1973 and headquartered in Columbus, Aerospace Lubricants’ decision to reinvest locally highlights Central Ohio’s growing reputation as a hub for advanced and specialty manufacturing.
“When an existing company doubles down and expands in place, it speaks volumes about the strength of the Columbus market,” said Jason Hall, CEO of the Columbus Partnership. “Aerospace Lubricants’ newest investment is a testament to our region’s workforce, infrastructure, and industry support, especially as aerospace and defense industries continue to cluster here.”
Local and state leaders also praised the announcement as part of a broader wave of industrial growth across the Columbus region. Recent manufacturing expansions have been announced by companies including Hims & Hers and Axium Packaging in New Albany, and Becker Mining Systems in Mount Vernon.
“This expansion is another proof point that Columbus is a magnet for growth,” said Columbus Mayor Andrew J. Ginther. “It brings economic opportunity to more families and reflects the kind of steady investment that strengthens our communities.”
JobsOhio President and CEO J.P. Nauseef added that the expansion underscores Ohio’s competitive position nationwide. “Aerospace Lubricants choosing to grow here highlights the strength of our manufacturing climate, the quality of our workforce, and the momentum building across the state.”
Hiring for the newly created positions is expected to begin in early 2026 and will include skilled production, technical, and quality-focused roles.
