The Antique Farm Display Building of the Ross County Fair

Ross County Fairgrounds — Remember the fair? Back when shorts and flip flops were in season, and large electric fans were popular?

Here’s a blast from the past, a walk-through of one of my favorite parts of the Ross County Fair – the Antique Farm Display Building, on August 9th, 2025. (Speaking of winter, note the Christmas display!)

Remember, the building was not a part of Camp Sherman or a 1917 camp building that was moved there – but part of a 1930s Depression-era youth camp that was built on the farm of the Ross County Infirmary. Yes, it is a military-style barracks, but it was not built by or for the military.

Watch for our coverage (soon) of the 82nd Annual Ross County Fair, August 8 to 15, 2026.
