VINTON COUNTY, Ohio — One person was seriously injured and flown to a Columbus hospital following a single-vehicle rollover crash Sunday afternoon on U.S. 50 in Madison Township, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. near milepost 23 on U.S. 50.
According to the patrol, Tyler Dunlap, 32, of Hamden, was driving a 2022 Dodge Challenger northwest on U.S. 50 when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck an embankment.
The Challenger then traveled back onto the roadway before overturning across the center line and leaving the left side of the roadway.
Dunlap sustained serious injuries and was transported by MedFlight to Grant Medical Center in Columbus.
Five-Time Towing was called to the scene to assist with recovery of the vehicle.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Jackson Post was assisted at the scene by Vinton County EMS, Zaleski Fire Department and the Vinton County Sheriff’s Department.
The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
