CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — Local arts nonprofit ArtsaRound is partnering with a new tattoo convention to bring a unique, ink-inspired art exhibition to Uptown Circleville this month.
The exhibition, titled Ink & Impressions: A Celebration of Tattoo Art, Creativity, and Community, runs from July 9 through August 1 at the ArtsaRound Gallery, located at 135 W. Main Street. Admission is free.
The showcase features paintings, printmaking, mixed media, illustrations, and original tattoo art by regional artists, including Ahneka Campbell, Chris Lockard, Jennifer Neuding, Noah Davis, Timothy Thompson Jr., and Zoey Chickadee.
Organizers designed the gallery event to run alongside the city’s upcoming Stained Pumpkin Tattoo Convention, scheduled for July 31 through August 1 at the Pickaway Agriculture & Event Center.
“ArtsaRound is all about bringing people together through the arts,” said Jenny Rhoads, an ArtsaRound board member and the exhibition’s organizer. “As excitement builds for the inaugural Stained Pumpkin Tattoo Convention, this exhibition celebrates not only tattoo artistry but also the creativity and collaboration it inspires throughout our community.”
The gallery will host an opening gala on Thursday, July 9, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Attendees can meet the featured artists, vote in a People’s Choice Award competition, and enjoy refreshments provided by event sponsors Manchester Hill Winery and Tait Bakes.
Following the opening night, the gallery will be open to the public on Fridays and Saturdays.
The exhibition serves as a preview for the larger Stained Pumpkin Tattoo Convention at the end of the month, which will feature more than 30 artists, vendors, live tattooing, contests, and family-friendly entertainment.
