
JACKSON TOWNSHIP, OH – Emergency crews are on the scene of a serious farming accident this afternoon after a man was struck and run over by a tractor in a rural area of Pickaway County.
The incident occurred in the 19400 block of Hill Road. Dispatchers received a call reporting that a 51-year-old male had been run over by the heavy machinery, sustaining what officials are describing as life-threatening injuries.
Emergency Response
First responders from Williamsport EMS were immediately dispatched to the scene. Due to the severity of the man’s condition, a medical helicopter was also requested and is currently en route to a nearby landing zone to transport the victim to a trauma center, likely in Columbus.

The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office and emergency officials are asking residents to avoid the 19400 block of Hill Road at this time. The roadway may be restricted or closed to allow the flight crew to land and to give investigators space to determine the cause of the accident.
