
PICKAWAY COUNTY, Ohio (March 21, 2026) — A two-vehicle crash in Monroe Township ended with one driver fleeing the scene and another vehicle leaving the roadway, according to the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the crash around 9:31 p.m. at the intersection of State Route 56 and Douglass Road.
Investigators say a Dodge Charger traveling north on Douglass Road failed to stop at a stop sign and entered the intersection at a high rate of speed, striking a GMC Sierra that was traveling eastbound on State Route 56.
Following the impact, the GMC traveled off the left side of the roadway, through a ditch, and into a nearby field.
Authorities say the driver of the Dodge fled the scene eastbound and was not located by responding deputies.
The driver of the GMC, identified as a 54-year-old woman, reported possible minor injuries but was not transported from the scene.
The crash occurred under dark conditions on a dry roadway. Deputies remained on scene for over an hour while investigating and clearing the roadway.
The incident remains under investigation, and authorities are working to identify the driver who left the scene. IF you have any information contact the local Sheriff department
