WESTERVILLE, Ohio (March 20, 2026) — Shoppers across central Ohio will soon see some relief at the gas pump as Kroger rolls out its Spring Fuel Weekend events, offering bonus savings opportunities through early April.
The grocery chain’s Columbus Division announced Friday that customers can earn up to four times the normal Fuel Points on purchases during select weekends, helping offset rising fuel costs during the busy spring travel season.
The promotion runs through April 5 and is designed to coincide with spring break travel, Easter plans, and increased seasonal driving.
“Our goal is to help families stretch their budgets as they head into spring,” said Mark Bruce, head of communications and public affairs for Kroger’s Columbus Division. “By pairing everyday low grocery prices with stackable fuel rewards, customers can save both in-store and at the pump.”
How the Fuel Savings Work
Kroger customers can take advantage of several bonus Fuel Point opportunities:
- March 20–22: 4X Fuel Points on Friday purchases and 2X points Saturday and Sunday
- March 27–29: 4X Fuel Points all weekend
- April 3–5: 4X Fuel Points all weekend
Additional ways to save include:
- Earning 2X Fuel Points daily through Boost by Kroger Plus membership
- Receiving 4X Fuel Points on gift card purchases every weekday
- Getting 25 Fuel Points per qualifying prescription, plus an extra 75 points for 90-day refills
To receive the bonus points during promotional weekends, customers must clip a digital coupon through their Kroger account at checkout.
Helping Families Balance Costs
With gas prices continuing to fluctuate, Kroger officials say the initiative is aimed at giving shoppers more control over their household budgets while still providing access to quality groceries.
The company notes that some exclusions apply, including certain pharmacy items, alcohol, and tobacco products, and that pricing and participation may vary by location.
The Spring Fuel events are available at Kroger stores throughout the Columbus Division, including locations across central Ohio.
