CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Chillicothe police responded to a range of incidents Sunday, Feb. 22, including a non-suspicious death investigation, multiple thefts, disorderly conduct complaints and a warrant investigation.
According to the department’s daily media report, officers handled 12 reported cases throughout the day.
Non-Suspicious Death Under Investigation
Officers were dispatched at 12:57 p.m. to an apartment at 153 University Drive after receiving a report of a possible deceased person. Authorities indicated the death is considered non-suspicious, with the investigation pending.
Warrant Investigation Initiated
Around 2:12 a.m., officers initiated contact with a male subject at the BP gas station at 1141 E. Main Street. The case is being investigated in connection with a warrant.
Theft Reports Across the City
Police responded to several theft complaints Sunday evening:
A theft complaint on West Water Street remains under investigation.
Officers responded to Walmart on River Trace Lane for a reported theft. A summons was issued in that case.
Another theft was reported late Sunday night on South Walnut Street.
Disorderly Conduct and Domestic Disputes
Officers were dispatched to Sherman Park shortly before 1 p.m. for a disorderly conduct complaint involving fighting or threats in the area of South Watt Street and Adams Avenue. The investigation is ongoing.
Additional disorderly conduct calls were reported on Ewing Street and West Water Street. One incident on West Water Street involved a domestic dispute, and a report was taken. Police also responded to Logan Street for a juvenile-related complaint, with a report filed.
Criminal Trespass Reported
Police were called to Dunham Sports on North Bridge Street at approximately 1:41 p.m. regarding a trespassing complaint. That investigation continues.
Citizen Assist
Earlier in the morning, officers responded to North Paint Street for a citizen assist call outside the Law Enforcement Complex.
Authorities say investigations remain ongoing in several of the reported incidents.
