
The championship season for the Circleville Tigers continues to bring accolades, as senior standout Kole Nungester has been named Division IV Player of the Year by the District 14 Coaches Association.
Nungester’s leadership and performance throughout the Tigers’ title run earned him top honors in Division IV, while Circleville head coach Evan Callihan was recognized as Division IV Coach of the Year.
Circleville also saw additional recognition, with senior Riley Jenkins earning Second Team honors and Jack Kline receiving Honorable Mention.
Local Standouts Recognized
Several area schools were well represented on the District 14 list.
For the Logan Elm Braves, Brady Neff was named Second Team, while Owen Russell received Honorable Mention recognition.
At Westfall Mustangs, Joe Wray earned Third Team honors, and Bryan Craig was named Honorable Mention.
Division III & IV Highlights
In Division III, Adam Guthrie (Miami Trace) and Jack Howland (Hillsboro) were named Players of the Year, with Ben Ackley (Miami Trace) earning Coach of the Year honors.
Division IV awards were headlined by Nungester as Player of the Year and Callihan as Coach of the Year.

Division VII
Brycin McClintic (South Webster) was selected as Division VII Player of the Year. Larry Howell (Portsmouth Clay) and Quentin Williams (Fairfield) were named Co-Coaches of the Year.
Special Recognitions
Adam Guthrie (Miami Trace) was selected as the North-South All-Star Game representative, with Blake Fitch (Unioto) named alternate.
Division IV & V Co-Assistant Coaches of the Year honors went to Eugene Collins (Portsmouth) and Nick Easterday (Unioto), while Michael Walls (Peebles) was recognized as Division VI & VII Assistant Coach of the Year.
District 14 also inducted Cyndy Driggs (Unioto, Zane Trace), Linda Hatten (Lynchburg Clay), Matt Hoops (Unioto), and Paul Boggs (Media) into the Hall of Fame. Officials of the Year honors were awarded to Dave Hopkins and Keith Throckmorton.
With multiple athletes and coaches honored across divisions, District 14 showcased the depth of basketball talent throughout the region — led this year by a championship effort in Circleville.
