
CHILLICOTHE — The Chillicothe Police Department responded to multiple incidents Monday, Feb. 16, including a reported domestic assault, a theft from a vehicle and a drug trafficking investigation.
Domestic assault reported
Officers were dispatched at 9:13 a.m. to Sherman Park for a reported domestic dispute. The case is being investigated as assault and domestic violence, according to police.
Theft from vehicle
At 9:22 a.m., officers responded to the 500 block of Church Street for a reported theft from a motor vehicle. A report was taken.
Crash investigations
Police investigated two non-injury crashes Monday.
A crash report was filed following a marked lanes violation on Western Avenue early in the day.
Later, officers were dispatched to an alley between South Paint Street and South Mulberry Street for a non-injury crash involving a driver who allegedly failed to sound a horn at an alley intersection. A report was completed.
Juvenile complaint
At 2:44 p.m., officers were called to the 300 block of Plyleys Lane for a juvenile complaint involving an unruly child. The investigation is ongoing.
Trespass complaint
Around 3:17 p.m., police were dispatched to Sheetz, 1525 N. Bridge St., after a manager requested that a man be barred from the property. The incident was documented as criminal trespass.
Drug trafficking investigation
At 5:12 p.m., a detective assisted with an investigation into alleged drug trafficking in Ross County. The case involves suspected trafficking offenses and remains under investigation.
Evening disorderly conduct, harassment complaints
Officers were dispatched at 8:16 p.m. to Triple Crown, 1 Nancy Wilson Way, for a disorderly conduct complaint that also involved alleged criminal mischief. The investigation is continuing.
Later, at 9:58 p.m., police responded to the 800 block of Fleet Street for a telecommunications harassment complaint involving reported threats. That investigation also remains ongoing.
Police reported a total of nine incidents for the day.
