Multiple Arrests, Investigations Reported in Chillicothe Police Daily Log

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Chillicothe Police Department handled a variety of incidents on February 12, 2026, including arrests for disorderly conduct, theft, a warrant service, and multiple ongoing investigations, according to the department’s daily media report.

Early Morning Traffic Stop

At approximately 1:51 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle operating without tail lights or a license plate light. The investigation remains ongoing.

Domestic Dispute Leads to Arrest

Around 8:12 a.m., officers responded to the 100 block of Steele Street for a reported domestic dispute. During the investigation, Pat Martin was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Investigation into Obscene Material

At 9:53 a.m., a detective opened an investigation on North Paint Street following a complaint involving the alleged purchase and possession of child sexual abuse material. The investigation is continuing.

Theft Charges Filed

Officers responded to River Trace Lane at 10 a.m. in reference to a theft complaint. Following the investigation, Lela Sparks was charged with theft after allegedly shoplifting items.

Later in the day, at 2:44 p.m., police took a theft report on East Main Street. That case remains under investigation.

Crash Report, Warrant Service, and Welfare Check

Police also completed a non-criminal crash report during the day.

At 5:49 p.m., officers were dispatched to 126 E. 4th Street to serve an outstanding warrant.

At 6:46 p.m., officers conducted a welfare check at 509 Mill Street. That case remains open.

Trespass and Additional Disorderly Conduct Calls

At 7:29 p.m., officers responded to Harbor Freight, 1059 N. Bridge Street, for a criminal trespass complaint. The investigation is ongoing. A separate report logged at the same time was later determined to have been issued in error.

At 9:42 p.m., officers were dispatched to 501 Sherman Park for a disorderly complaint involving an alleged probation violation and violation of a protection order. The investigation continues.

Later that evening, at 10:55 p.m., officers responded to 339 Old Eastern Avenue for an active domestic situation. That investigation is ongoing.

Just before midnight, at 11:48 p.m., officers were called to the BP gas station on North Bridge Street for a report of disorderly conduct involving fighting or threatening behavior.

In total, 14 reports were generated by the Chillicothe Police Department on February 12. Several cases remain under investigation.
