
CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a variety of calls throughout the city on Monday, Feb. 9, according to the department’s daily media report released Feb. 10.
Police opened a juvenile-related investigation after a report was received at approximately 9:31 a.m. in the 400 block of West Main Street. Officers indicated the case remains under investigation.
Later in the morning, officers were dispatched to the 200 block of South Mulberry Street around 10:02 a.m. in response to a reported domestic complaint. Upon arrival, officers determined the incident involved a verbal altercation over a civil matter. No arrests were made and no further police action was required.
At approximately 12:50 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and crash investigation in the area of North Bridge Street involving an expired license plate and validation sticker. Details of the crash investigation were not released.
Just before 1 p.m., police responded to Lincoln Park on West Seventh Street following a report of a possible theft. The incident is being investigated.
Another non-criminal investigation was initiated at about 1:29 p.m. after police received a referral from Ross County Children Services involving an incident reported on West Main Street. The investigation is ongoing.
During the afternoon, officers were dispatched to River Trace Lane around 2:37 p.m. after a report of suspected drugs being found at a residence. The matter remains under investigation.
Later in the day, at approximately 3:44 p.m., officers responded to a call in the 500 block of West Fifth Street for a reported cardiac or non-breather emergency. The incident also involved allegations of disorderly conduct related to intoxication and possible drug involvement. Police said the investigation is continuing.
In total, Chillicothe police documented seven incidents in the city on Feb. 9. Several cases remain under investigation.
