Amanda-Clearcreek Announces New Board of Education Leadership

AMANDA, Ohio (February 4, 2026)  Amanda-Clearcreek Local Schools (A-C) recently announced the election of its Board of Education leadership for 2026. Susan Young will assume the role of board president and Dr. Jeremy Buckley as vice president.

A lifelong Amanda resident and Certified Public Accountant of 28 years, Young has served the A-C Board of Education since her appointment in September 2019. She was elected by voters in November 2021 and began her first term in January 2022. Upon her recent re-election, Young’s second term will proceed through December 2029.

Dr. Buckley was appointed to the Board of Education in January 2023 and elected to his first four-year term beginning January 2024. A resident of the district since 2009, Dr. Buckley is a practicing cardiologist with offices in Fairfield and Hocking Counties. A father of four, his two youngest children are enrolled at A-C, and the two oldest are recent A-C graduates, class of 2021 and 2023. Dr. Buckley will continue his service on the board as vice president for 2026.

Also serving on the board is Gregg Herron, who was appointed during the Board of Education’s first organizational meeting on January 26. Kyle Sharp, who previously served as board president, was also appointed at that time. Robin Saum, who was re-elected in 2022, continues to serve her term that began in January 2023.

“This is a passionate group of parents, professionals and invested community members who have committed to serve our district through the Board of Education,” said Dr. Timothy Edwards, superintendent of Amanda-Clearcreek Local Schools. “We are grateful for their leadership, dedication, involvement and expertise that come together to make key decisions that impact our district.”
