(DAYTON, Ohio) — Ohio First Lady Fran DeWine visited CareSource on Wednesday to celebrate the
company’s 2025 Workplace Giving Campaign, where employees raised $135,025 for Dolly Parton’s
Imagination Library of Ohio. CareSource President and CEO Erhardt Preitauer presented the check to
First Lady DeWine during her visit.
“I am grateful to the many CareSource employees who chose to support Dolly Parton’s Imagination
Library of Ohio during last year’s CareSource Workplace Giving campaign,” said Ohio First Lady Fran
DeWine. “This generous donation will help put thousands of books into the hands of our little learners,
setting them up on a path of reading success.”
CareSource’s annual Workplace Giving program brings employees together to create greater collective
impact in the communities the organization serves. Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Ohio was one
of three nonprofit organizations employees could support during the 2025 campaign, which was focused
on children’s literacy and family well-being.
“Strong communities begin with children who have the tools to learn, grow and thrive,” said Erhardt
Preitauer, President and CEO of CareSource. “Our employees care deeply about supporting Dolly Parton’s
Imagination Library of Ohio and their mission. Access to books strengthens early literacy and contributes
to a brighter, healthier future for families across our state.”
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Ohio partners with nonprofit organizations in all 88 counties to
administer the program. Local Program Partners are responsible for half of the book cost, thanks to
matching funds from the Ohio General Assembly. CareSource’s gift to Dolly Parton’s Imagination
Library of Ohio will cover the local cost of mailing 103,865 high-quality, age-appropriate books to
children across Ohio.
