CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — Circleville police officers were busy throughout the day and evening on Sunday, Jan. 26, responding to a wide range of calls, including traffic accidents, domestic disturbances, alarms, and a fight that resulted in an arrest.

According to the Circleville Police Department’s daily call-for-service log, officers conducted multiple extra patrols during the early morning hours along North Court Street, East Circle Lane, Clark Drive, Springhollow Road, East Main Street, and East Union Street. All extra patrols were checked and cleared without incident.

Later in the morning, officers responded to an alarm drop on Edwards Road, which was determined to be unfounded. A dirt bike or ATV complaint was also reported on East Union Street in the early afternoon, though officers were unable to locate anyone upon arrival.

Several traffic-related incidents were reported throughout the day, including non-injury accidents on East Franklin Street and U.S. 23, both of which resulted in citations being issued. A hit-skip accident with no reported injuries was documented on Pontious Road, and a separate property damage report was taken on South Court Street.

During the evening hours, police handled multiple domestic trouble calls on East Mill Street and South Court Street, with reports taken in both cases. Officers also responded to suspicious circumstances on North Court Street, though the situation was gone upon arrival.

At approximately 9:18 p.m., officers were called to East Franklin Street for a reported fight. One arrest was made in connection with the incident.

The night concluded with a parking complaint on Cedar Heights Road, which did not require a report.

All incidents remain subject to further investigation as applicable.
