Chillicothe — In the semiquincentennial year of 2026 – celebrated nationally by “America 250” – the local celebratory effort is hosting monthly events, starting tomorrow.
Led by the Nathaniel Massie Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, America 250 in Ross County will present “Chillicothe Firsts” in the former Gazette Building at 50 West Main Street at 1pm on Saturday, January 10th, 2026.

The next presentations will be “Ohio Works: Innovation and Industry” at the Ross County Heritage Center on February 14th, and “Ohio Entertains” in the Majestic Theatre on March 14th.
A major event will be “A Revolutionary Family Experience” at Adena Mansion & Gardens on June 14-15th. (DAR regent Terressa Reep says more events are being planned.)
