
CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Chillicothe Police officers handled a dozen calls for service throughout the city on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2025, according to the department’s daily media report released the following day.
The day began at 7:12 a.m. when officers were dispatched to 1111 E. Main St. in reference to a complaint involving a warrant. That investigation remains ongoing.
Later in the morning, at 8:22 a.m., officers responded to the Law Complex on Jefferson Avenue for a threats complaint, which was classified as disorderly conduct. Around 10:12 a.m., police handled a non-criminal trespassing complaint on Whaley Place.
Just before noon, officers were dispatched to Kohl’s on River Trace Lane for a reported possible theft, which was later determined to be non-criminal. At 12:57 p.m., police responded to East Second Street for a criminal mischief call involving property damage.
That afternoon, at 2:42 p.m., officers were dispatched to 1470 N. Bridge St. in reference to a shoplifting incident. Additional calls included a criminal trespass report on East Fourth Street at 4:20 p.m.
At 6:40 p.m., officers responded to River Trace Lane for an active theft complaint that escalated into a failure to comply case involving an attempt to elude police. Later that evening, at 8:35 p.m., officers were called to West Fifth Street for a domestic disturbance, which was logged as disorderly conduct.
Nighttime calls included a hit-skip and vandalism report at the Holiday Inn on East Main Street at 10:26 p.m. Another hit-skip crash was reported at the intersection of Piatt Avenue and Arch Street at 10:51 p.m., involving a driver under suspension who allegedly left the scene.
The final call of the night came just before midnight, when officers responded to Winona Boulevard in reference to a male who was bleeding. A report was taken, and no further action was required.
In total, 12 incidents were recorded by the Chillicothe Police Department on Dec. 26. Many of the cases remain under investigation.
