Chillicothe — The “Holiday Showcase” at the Pump House Center for the Arts continues to offer Christmas gifts through December 23rd.
The annual market / show opened on December 4th, with affordable art from many local artists filling the gallery – in addition to even more art that is available year-round in the gift shop area.
As the Chillicothe Art League posted on Facebook, “featured Artists are John K. Victor, Patrick Sims, Angie Terry, Keri Dodds, Aaron Brushart, Tom King, LJ Corley, Betsy Parker, Keith Bowman, Lisa Coppel, Carolyn Downs, and Colten Moody.”
Watch longtime Pump House volunteer Bev Reiley point out each artist’s area in the below video, as well as see an interview with the upstairs “pour painting” artist, Carolyn Downs.
I had two other interviews, but the camera ruined then by not recording any audio. Same with my video tour of the Pump House’s gallery and gift shop areas – but at least I could salvage that by adding holiday music!
Pump House hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday 11 to 4; Thursday and Friday 11 to 6; and Sunday 1 to 4. They will be taking their regular January vacation, returning February with the “Best of Ross County” high school show.
The Mulberry Street entrance to Yoctangee Park is closed because of park reconstruction, so use the Paint Street or Mill Street entrances and turn to go past the city pool. Learn more on their Facebook page and website.
