CIRCLEVILLE, OH — Runners and walkers of all ages are invited to take part in the annual Circleville Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning, a 5K event that benefits local food programs and celebrates community spirit.

The 2025 Turkey Trot will raise funds for the Emergency Clearinghouse Food Pantry and the Community Cupboards of Pickaway County, both of which provide year-round support to individuals and families facing food insecurity.

Last year’s event drew 303 participants from seven states — Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Illinois, Wisconsin, Virginia, and Florida — and raised more than $8,700 for the PICCA Fresh Produce Market. Organizers are hoping to surpass that success this year.

The 5K race begins at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, November 27, at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, 129 W. Mound Street, Circleville, with the route starting and ending at the church. Participants can register at an early-bird rate of $30 through October 31.

Jim Rocklin, Co-Chair of the Turkey Trot Committee, said, “The Turkey Trot is such a wonderful Thanksgiving tradition — a way to come together, get moving, and give back. It’s inspiring to see how our community shows up each year to make a difference for local food programs.”

The event is supported by numerous local sponsors, including Elite Sponsors: The Savings Bank, Circleville Eagles, Pickaway Flooring Center, and the Circleville & Circleville Sunrise Rotary Clubs; and Premier Sponsors: Homeland Credit Union, Health Care Logistics, and Elsea Inc.
