LOCKBOURNE, Ohio — A morning fire tore through a mobile home in the Buckeye Trails Estates community, leaving one person injured and two pets dead, according to the Harrison Township Fire Department.
Firefighters were dispatched at 8:07 a.m. to the residence located at 10610 E. State Route 762 after reports of a structure fire. Crews arrived to find the mobile home fully engulfed in flames.
Firefighters rapidly brought the blaze under control, but the home suffered significant damage. One resident sustained injuries and was provided medical care. Tragically, two pets inside the home did not survive the fire.
The American Red Cross responded to assist the displaced family with emergency support.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
