CIRCLEVILLE — A 32-year-old man with a lengthy criminal history in Pickaway and Franklin counties has pleaded guilty to multiple child sex crimes, according to court documents.
Shad Sammet entered guilty pleas to five felony charges, including three counts of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor or impaired person and two counts of importuning involving a 10-year-old girl.
Investigators said Sammet produced explicit material involving a child and shared the content with others.
Court records indicate Sammet has an extensive criminal background, with previous offenses tied to gun and break-in crimes.
In Court this week, Sammet was sentenced to 2 years each for counts 1,3, and 4. He was charged 18 months each for counts 2 and 5 for a total of 9 years in prison. He will register as a Tier 3 sex offender for the rest of his life.
