Chillicothe Police Respond to Multiple Incidents Including Overdose, Death Investigation, and Several Thefts

CHILLICOTHE, OH — The Chillicothe Police Department released its daily media log for Tuesday, November 11, 2025, detailing a variety of calls that kept officers busy across the city throughout the day.

The first call came in early that morning at 7:37 a.m. for a reported drug overdose. Police say the investigation remains ongoing. Shortly after, officers were dispatched to 69 Yaples Orchard Drive in reference to a non-suspicious death, which is also still under investigation.

Around 9:28 a.m., detectives received a phone report of fraud and theft on Piatt Avenue, while other officers responded to a juvenile complaint later that morning on McKeller Street.

Police also investigated a shoplifting incident at a business on River Trace Lane just after noon and a parking issue on South Hickory Street around 1:57 p.m.

The afternoon saw multiple calls involving disorderly conduct, non-criminal welfare checks, and juvenile issues. Officers were called to Tiffin Towers on South Walnut Street for a disorderly conduct complaint, Park Street for a report of a suicidal person, and East 7th Street for an unruly juvenile complaint.

At 4:30 p.m., police took a subject into custody on an active warrant near the Ross/Jackson County line and transported the individual to the Ross County Jail.

Later that evening, officers handled a criminal trespass complaint at Kroger on North Bridge Street, where several subjects were trespassed and told to leave. The day concluded with another disorderly conduct report at 177 South Paint Street.

In total, the department logged 16 separate incidents for November 11. Several cases remain under investigation.
