Circleville, OH — November 9, 2025 — Pickaway County Community Action (PICCA) is kicking off its annual Toys for Tots program with a renewed goal: ensuring that no child in Pickaway County is left without a gift this holiday season.
The program will officially open Monday, December 1, allowing families in need to “shop” for toys Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Last year, the initiative served nearly 1,600 children, and PICCA expected the need will exceed that number in 2025.
In response to rising costs and increased demand, PICCA says donations totaling $50,000 or more will be needed to meet the needs of local families.
To help reach this target, PICCA will host its largest internal fundraiser on Saturday, November 15, at the Pickaway County Fairgrounds from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The event will feature:
- Craft bazaar (with more than 30 tables)
- Photos with Santa or the Grinch
- Live DJ entertainment
- Food trucks (Five food trucks have already been scheduled, including a coffee truck, so you can sip and stroll the goodies. )
- Bake Sale items, grab some home-cooked items for Thanksgiving!
- 50/50 raffle and lottery wreath toy drive

Entry to the event requires a new, unwrapped toy or a monetary donation, with all contributions going directly to the Toys for Tots program. PICCA says items for kids 12 and above are needed items, like steaming sticks, Alexa, Headphones, Games, and DVDs.
“We’re calling on our community to come together and help make the holidays brighter for local families,” said Jonna Motter, Executive Director of PICCA. “Whether it’s a toy, a dollar, or your time, every bit counts. This year, we’re excited to introduce our craft vendor bazaar while continuing our commitment to the children of Pickaway County. We hope to bring back our beloved Chili Cookoff in the future, but the Holiday Bazaar offers a fresh and festive way to give back this season.”

So come shop, dine, and give back to the community in such an easy fun way.
