CIRCLEVILLE, OH — Circleville residents will soon have a new spot to grab a burger and fries, as Five Guys Burgers and Fries is officially set to open in 2026.
The fast-casual restaurant chain—famous for its customizable burgers, hand-cut fries, and free peanuts—is planned as part of a new three-tenant development at the Walmart Circleville Plaza, located near Buffalo Wild Wings and Dollar Tree. Heavy equipment is already on-site, preparing the ground for construction.
Two additional tenants are also confirmed for the project, including a Marshalls or T.J. Maxx, both owned by the same parent company, which will occupy one or two of the other units.
Founded in 1986 in Arlington, Virginia, by Jerry and Janie Murrell and their five sons, Five Guys has grown into a global favorite, known for its simple yet high-quality menu. The chain began franchising in 2003 and now operates thousands of locations across North America, Europe, Asia, and beyond.
Five Guys sets itself apart with a focus on freshness and customization. The restaurants use no freezers—only coolers—to keep ingredients fresh. Customers can create over 250,000 burger combinations with 15 free toppings. The fries are hand-cut daily and cooked in 100% peanut oil, available plain or Cajun-style. The menu also features hot dogs, milkshakes with mix-ins, and Coca-Cola Freestyle fountain drinks offering over 100 flavor options.
Patrons can expect the brand’s signature red-and-white décor, open kitchen layout, and complimentary peanuts while waiting for their orders—though peanut allergy warnings will be clearly posted.
Construction of the Circleville location is expected to continue through 2025, with doors anticipated to open sometime in 2026.
