Chillicothe & Ross County — The NAACP held their “Meet the Candidates Night” two weeks before election day, offering a version different from the earlier video version of “Candidates Night” by the League of Women Voters.

The Carver Community Center hosted the event by the Ross County NAACP on October 21st, 2025. Contested races were highlighted, though most unopposed candidates did not speak.

About 75 attended, most candidates were there, limited questioning was allowed, and brief statements were made on the two renewal levies (hear them in the below video).

NAACP Unit President Adrienne D’Souza pointed out that the event was a “neutral information space.” Dawn Zarbakhsh was the emcee.

The event was not videorecorded or podcasted…but watch for the annual event next year at election season.

Find a list of ALL candidates and levies / issues in the county through the Ross County Board of Elections website.
