The Circleville Police Department was kept busy Thursday, October 16, responding to 80 calls for service throughout the city. Officers handled a variety of incidents ranging from well-being checks and parking complaints to thefts, disturbances, and several traffic accidents.
Among the day’s notable reports:
- A theft was reported on West Main Street at 10:44 a.m., with a report taken by officers.
- A hit-skip crash on West Mound Street around noon resulted in a report being filed.
- An injury accident occurred on North Court Street at 6:12 p.m., with a report taken.
- Multiple harassment and threat complaints were investigated on Watt Street, East Franklin Street, and Harrison Street later in the evening.
- An assault was reported on East Franklin Street at 8:29 p.m., leading to a report being filed.
- Several hit-skip and non-injury crashes were documented across East Ohio Street and South Court Street, with some referred to other agencies.
Officers also conducted numerous extra patrols and business checks throughout the early morning hours, with all appearing secure. Several well-being checks were completed during the day, some resulting in reports or referrals to other agencies.
By day’s end, Circleville Police had responded to calls across nearly every part of the city — maintaining visibility, responding to concerns, and ensuring community safety.
