
CHILLICOTHE, OH — Chillicothe Police were kept busy Sunday, October 5, responding to a variety of calls ranging from disorderly conduct and drug possession to thefts and a missing persons report, according to the department’s daily media log.
The first call came shortly after midnight, when officers were dispatched to 33 N. Bridge Street for reports of a drunk and disorderly man. Several other disorderly conduct calls followed throughout the day, including incidents on Jefferson Avenue, Lillie Street, East 5th Street, East 2nd Street, and Madison Avenue. Many of these remain under investigation.
Around 7:23 a.m., officers were called to the rear of 847 Jefferson Avenue for a trespassing complaint that also led to a possession of drugs report.
Police also investigated multiple thefts, including one at 104 Ewing Street and another at Walmart on River Trace Lane. Both incidents are still under investigation.
In the early afternoon, officers responded to 147 Hirn Street for a criminal trespass, and later to 544 E. 2nd Street, where a protection order violation was reported.
A hit-skip crash was reported on North Bridge Street at approximately 4:24 p.m., and around 5:11 p.m., officers took a missing persons report involving two adults from 196 East 4th Street.
Later that evening, officers located Andrew McCutcheon on East 2nd Street and confirmed he had an active criminal trespass warrant from Hillsboro Police. He was arrested and taken to the Ross County Jail without incident.
The final call of the day came just before 11:40 p.m., when police were dispatched to 153 University Drive for a disorderly conduct report that resulted in a drug possession investigation involving a Schedule I or II substance.
In total, officers handled 17 incidents throughout the day.
